The third and fourth pillars

Belief in the books and the messengers

Allah sent the messengers and revealed the books to guide people to His oneness and obedience; belief in them produces veneration of revelation and following the seal of the messengers ﷺ.

01

Revelation and the message

Why did we combine the books and the messengers?

Because Allah sent His messengers with guidance and revealed with them the books to clarify the truth. So we believe in all of Allah's messengers and books in general, and in what Allah named of them in detail, and we believe that Muhammad ﷺ is the seal of the messengers and that the Qur'an is the seal of the books and guardian over them.

02

Brief rules

What must be believed?

The unity of their call

The basis of their call is the oneness of Allah and worshipping Him alone.

Their truthfulness and trustworthiness

They conveyed the message and fulfilled the trust.

The seal of the messengers

Muhammad ﷺ is the seal of the prophets, and his message is for all people.

The seal of the books

The Qur'an is preserved, confirming what came before it and guardian over it.

03

The fruit of following

Faith requires following

What is meant is not only knowing the names of the messengers and books, but following the revelation that reached us from the seal of the messengers ﷺ, and referring statements and customs to the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
