Question

English translation (unreviewed): What is the ruling on one who is overcome by vomiting while fasting: does he make up that day or not?

From the text of the answer

English translation (unreviewed): His ruling is that no making up is required of him. But if he induced vomiting, he must make up the day, because of the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: “Whoever is overcome by vomiting has no making up to do, and whoever induces vomiting must make up” [1]. Reported by Imam Ahmad and the four Sunan with a sound chain from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah.
