Do not delay the return
The door of repentance is open as long as the servant is in the time of acceptance. Repentance begins with leaving the sin, regret and the resolve not to return.

People's rights
If the sin relates to a human's right, words of istighfar alone are not enough; rather the right is returned or forgiveness is sought in a way that does not cause a greater harm, asking the people of knowledge in complex cases.

Protect the repentance
- Keep away from the causes of the sin and its companions.
- Replace the bad habit with a righteous deed.
- Keep to prayer, remembrance and the Qur'an.
- Do not despair when you stumble, but renew the repentance.
