The prayer of the sick

The Shari'ah does not drop the prayer from the sick as long as his mind is present, but it eases the posture for him according to his ability.

Pray according to your ability

StandingIf able.
SittingIf unable to stand.
On the sideIf unable to sit.

Purification

According to ability

The sick person purifies with water if able and it does not harm him; if he is unable or fears harm he moves to tayammum according to its rulings.
